Glucose Revolution: Balancing Blood Sugar

Jessie Inchauspe, has written an easy to read and to understand informational book about how to balance your blood sugar. High blood glucose means there is too much sugar in the blood. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, who is looking for basic information, about glucose and how it affects the body and steps that can be taken to gain control.

Glucose Revolution: Easy to Read and Real Advice

I was a little worried that this was going to be long, drawn out and hard to understand. But completely the opposite. It was in simple, clear language and easy to understand. Since it was a summary, it was the basics. I would like to read more. It definitely got me thinking about how I need to re-think my way of eating without having to give up all the foods I love. Very helpful!

Summary of Silva Mind Control Method: Concise And To The Point

Really good summary for those who don't have to time to read the original book. Everything is concise and easy to understand. If anything, reading this summary makes me want to purchase the original and see what I'm missing. The Silva Method seems truly extraordinary and can change people's lives.

Summary of Silva Mind Control Revolutionary Program

I think this preview gave a good overview about what the program would entail. It also included brief descriptions on how to do some of the techniques they would use in the program. Did it sway me to take the program? A little. I would if it were in my area and I had the money to do so. I am intrigued with the methods and techniques they would go through. It sounded like it would be thorough.

Summary of The Betrayal: A Great Documentary of these Trying Times

This book was well written and easy to read. It covers the timeline of what happened in a very traumatic turbulent period of American history. A must read for anyone that wants to know what happened and how Mitch McConnell let down the people of the United States.

Workbook for Disruptive Thinking: A Daring Strategy to Change, How We Live, Lead, and Love

Disruptive Thinking by T.D. Jakes is a not ordinary book: its timeless wisdom encourages us to think out of the box. Our actions are guided by the way we think. Disruptive Thinking challenges us to take a deeper look into our own lives and reach our highest potential. At the end of our life, we should be able to say that we gave our dreams a chance. Disruptive thinking is the path toward having no regrets- as we can read in the overview in this summary book. When life throws chaos at us, our survival mechanism kicks in and that is resulting in disruptive thinking. When traditional methods do not work, we are forced to think as a disrupter. This book is written as a guide to help us to reach it in the time we need it the most. Some of the most important thoughts from different areas: -We can join in working towards common goals by surrounding ourself with the right people, but if our associates come from the same field as we do, there will only be a repetition of skills. To create healthy disruption, we better ensure that everyone comes from different backgrounds, so they challenge our core beliefs, so we can grow. -True leadership is being of service to others. Leaders put aside time, titles, talents, treasures, and temperaments to serve others. -We must be selective in directing our energy, and not wasting our energy on unnecessary arguments. Functioning well in the face of disruption is key to a successful partnership. -There is only one way to ensure that we can face any challenge thrown at us. It is by strengthening our core. Our core means who we are at our core level, our core values, what we stand for, and our true essence. By not forgetting who we are at our core, we can gain the strength to face any challenge.

Summary of Battle for the American Mind: Very Highly Recommended!

This is a review of the Battle for the American Mind by Peter Hegseth (6/14/22, 288 pages). Book Summary Publishing has condensed the information in the original book to a succinct in-depth presentation of the key points and facts presented in the original book. Since I have not read the original, my review is about Book Summary Publishing's summary, which I found to be a very highly recommended and helpful survey of the original material. What Book Summary Publishing provides is a three fold advantage. An overview of the original material is presented in a clear, accessible manner. This brief analysis allows the reader to learn the contents of the original to either have the thumbnail sketch of what it is about to enhance following discussions of the topics and/or decide if they want to take the time to read the original material. This can be especially helpful in contemporary, topical books. The book provides an overview, summaries of each chapter, background information, and discussion questions at the end. This is only my second foray into a summary of a book in lieu of reading the original and it was actually a positive experience. The original book discusses how the progressive Left has slowly infiltrated and changed the education system in the country and how to collectively return it to the quality education that used to be provided. This is actually a topic I have first hand experience with, so it was highly interesting to read this summary of Hegseth's book. What the summary does is condense the information into the key, relevant points which allows you to follow discussions about the topic with ease.

Workbook for Outlive: "Useful as a note taking companion to the actual book"

I have been a huge fan of Dr Attia since his endurance-while-keto days and I used to read his then-blog (which felt more like a N=1 experiment/observational documentation) while I was entrenched in triathlon training myself. As he evolved and started discussing about his Centenarian Decathlon, I too was entering my 40s and starting to wonder how my health and fitness goals would (and should) evolve with the coming decades. So when he announced that he was writing his book, obviously I was ecstatic. The actual book itself is much more detailed (listing all the how-to’s) and this workbook serves not as a summary, but more of a companion of sorts. I can imagine this book being good for note taking, and jotting down some thoughts as I read through the actual book. But just reading this workbook alone, would be a waste and sacrilege to Dr Atria’s actual work.

Summary of "Young Forever"

Summary of a doctor's account of developing a system for longer life. This is a summary of the original work and so gives you the gist of that although some sections (like the quizzes, a recipe and the references) seem to be presented in full. There are three sections in the original book taking you logically through the original research and science, combining these into a system of theoretical benefit and then practical application as well as self assessment of need or progress through questionnaires. This publisher adds questions at the end of the text about the text and author as well as a few discussion questions. It might be better to also put these at the beginning to alert readers to peruse the text better for these answers. I have deducted a star because there is no commentary or evaluation of the text and, in this case, that could be dangerous. In one section it states "Hormesis is the phenomenon when you put the body under an adequate amount of stress to activate the healing systems." It then goes on to say the "king of hormesis" is ozone 2-5% with oxygen 95-98% injected intravenously, intramuscurly, rectally or topically. Intravenous injection would be a gas embolism which could cause stroke or death - the opposite of what it's advocating. The other routes of this administration are uncomfortable or ineffectual. It does give you a feel for the admixture of science and unorthodox methods advocated. I have no quarrel with the basic advice of eat healthily, exercise regularly, sleep well and be kind to others. I am not convinced that all the specifics are needed - and we will only know if the author survives longer than most in years to come. I would award two stars for the original text, but believe this to be a fair summary so deserving of better recognition of saving me the time in wading through the original.

Summary of "Young Forever"

I strongly believe in taking responsibility for our lives and I was even interviewed on the subject on Israeli television. The excellent book fascinated me from the first moment I started reading it, each chapter gave me tools and understandings that were not clear to me before. The author draws a map of health or rather the path to health in such an industrial world It's a book that can change lives and I'm definitely going to adopt many things from this book!
